Old Marsh Packhorse Bridge is dated 1772. Ham stone date on east front with name of the builders: Wm & Geo Rowel inscribed. [Source: English Heritage] This bridge was built over the River Avill in March & April 1772 at the cost of £22.5.9½d (£22.29) - [Source: Bernard Conncannon]
