This, the "new" All Saints (Annesley) Church was opened in 1874 as a means of better serving the families associated with Annesley Colliery (Opened in 1868), because "the other" All Saints Church - adjacent to Annesley Hall - was considered to be too far away for the majority of its members. Unfortunately however, the roof, the interior fittings, the organ and the bells were all badly damaged in December 1907 by a fire and the building remained closed until February 1909. It is Grade II-listed.
