Opened in 1852 by the Great Western Railway on its line from Oxford to Birmingham Snow Hill. View north west towards Tyseley and Birmingham, before a footbridge with lifts was built, obscuring some of this view - see Image The car park to the left is the site of a second island platform - this used to be a four platform station.
