This stream marks the old boundary between Surrey and Kent, now the boundary between the London Boroughs of Croydon and Bromley. The photograph shows it at the rear of flats in The Allders, West Wickham, where it is channelled under the A232 Wickham Road. It flows northwards through Beckenham, becoming the Pool River and finally debouching into the Thames at Dartford Creek.
