Situated near the north-west corner of the school building, facing the village street. The box appears to be in better condition than many that survive in everyday use. The green colour it has been painted seems dull compared with the familiar red, but (according to Wiki) was the standard colour before 1874: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Post_box The makers' name is given as WT Allen & Co. of London.
