The approach road to the Northam Bridge is visible lower left and the site of the former Vosper Thornycroft shipyard on the far bank of the Itchen has been cleared ready for development. The Royal Southampton Yacht Club is just below the centre of the photograph. Taken on landing run into Southampton Airport.
