Opened in 1872 by the Great Western Railway on its line from London Paddington to Reading, it replaced an earlier station slightly further west. View west towards Maidenhead and Reading some 8 years before the line was electrified and the 1884 footbridge removed in favour of a modern one. See Image for a 2021 view in the opposite direction.
