View southwards, towards Culter village, across the former level-crossing of the ex-Caledonian Railway branch Symington (to right) - Broughton (to left) - Peebles. Coulter station and the branch were closed to passengers 5/6/50, goods continued Broughton - Peebles until 7/6/54, at Coulter until 1/3/65 and Symington - Broughton until 4/4/66.
