A curiosity of Coach & Horses Passage http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3320599 this low, sloping, grooved projection, reputedly installed in 1846 following complaints about the "state of the public passage". It was intended to deter men from relieving themselves against the passage wall by deflecting urine towards their feet !
