A pair of L.M.S. Black 5 Class locomotives, Numbers 44871 and 45407 approach Buckshaw Parkway Station. Despite the "Midlander" headboard it was a "Winter Cumbrian Mountain Express" pictured in suitably wintery conditions. The train began in Manchester and was heading for carlisle.
