A Reading service departs platform 2 over the level crossing on Bedfont Lane. The train is made up of Class 458 Juniper units (numbers 8030 and 8015). Made by Alstom, they entered service between 1998 and 2002. Currently 4-Car units, during 2013 they will be modified using vehicles from the similar class 460 units that have been withdrawn from their Gatwick Express duties to become 5-Car units. Originally opened in 1848, Feltham Station was significantly rebuilt in the 1990's. It is interesting to compare this view with Malc McDonald's Image from 1990.
