Opened in c.1852 as "Victoria" by the Monmouthshire Railway & Canal Company on the line from Newport (Gwent) to Ebbw Vale, this station closed in 1962 (all needs confirmation). The original platform is believed to have been to the left of the track, cut into the slope, but since landscaped. The new Parkway station was opened in 2008 on the same site as Victoria, and the line was further extended northwards (behind the camera position) to Ebbw Vale town station in 2015.
