The Church of St Peter and St Paul and the Manor House at Ash are located in a memorable setting on their own across the fields from the straggling village. The chancel and tower date from the 13th century and the church was restored at the beginning of the 20th century. In a week of generally gloomy weather which included fog and snow, this was the one bright day.
