Images of floods have been abundant on Geograph in recent weeks. In this instance flooding was not due to exceptional rainfall - roads close to the Thames in places like Chiswick, Old Isleworth, and Twickenham are fairly frequently flooded by high spring tides. Along the Mall the water was knee-deep in places, possibly deeper.
