View towards Salisbury Place. Each of the six houses in the terrace has an external entrance to a basement room, above which there are two floors. Access to the basement is made via a gate in the wall and across a small yard. The basement room facility contrasts with the provision of a large cellar beneath the other dwellings in Akroydon. Blocked-in "coal-holes" are visible in the yard wall.
