Pevsner says "UNITED REFORMED CHURCH (Congregational) New Road, 1872-4 by Samuel Musgrave of Hull. White brick with red brick and stone dressings. A large Gothic building with nave, two shallow transepts and a prominent SW tower with octagonal spire."
