Taurus Crafts is an arts and crafts visitor centre, the base for 15 small artisan businesses, most of which make and sell from their workshops. There is a giftshop, cafe, and a local & organic food shop. Taurus is Latin for bull. There is a wooden bull sculpture http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3291796 near the entrance. The sculpture seen here depicts bull-leaping, or taurokathapsia, an ancient Cretan sport in which a performer grasps the horns of a bull and somersaults over him. Bull-leaping was often depicted in Bronze Age art.
