These two postboxes stand in the Royal Mail yard behind the town's main post offices. One is for local mail and the other for other destinations. They are emptied finally at 5:15pm on weekdays and at 2:15pm on Saturdays. The boxes are both of the modern 'Type L' design; a narrower version called a Type M is perhaps more common.
