Now sub-divided into three cottages with a great view across the Esk valley. Particularly distinctive is the "battlemented gable parapet rising to central peak and ramped down at sides in long, sweeping curves" http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1316084&searchtype=mapsearch . Seen from NCN165.
