The C39 as it heads north towards Drusillas Roundabout where it crosses the A27 before continuing on its way to Upper and Lower Dicker. This section of the road between the junction with Winton Street and Berwick Court is relatively new having been constructed during the early 19th century to replace an older route to the west that is now a bridleway.
