The River Og flows alongside the lane to the left. Because of the recent wet weather the river has burst its banks and caused slight flooding of the lane. About 250 metres further on Wet Pits Lane joins the A346, a major north-south route through Wiltshire. Turning right from the A346 into the lane is a little tricky but safe enough as long as there isn't a headcase driving behind you wielding a camera.
