Opened in 1848 on the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway's line from Wakefield to Goole, this once-grand station had four platforms with an overall roof. Since the 1960s it has been a much simpler affair. View east, towards Whitley Bridge and Goole. The former Doncaster-bound platforms had been further to the right.
