Park Street has a down-at-heel air about it, not helped by the dismal weather conditions in this view. The street is plentifully supplied with pubs, however, no doubt reflecting the proximity of the university. The Bat & Barrel seen here was the White Lion until 1993 and is a Charles Wells house.
