Opened in 1860 by the London, Chatham and Dover Railway, later part of the South Eastern and Chatham Railway, on its line between those places. View north west towards Selling, Faversham and Chatham. At one time it had an overall roof. A footbridge with lifts was erected in 2021 - see Image for a 2022 image from the adjacent platform.
