This road is steep! and in the summers of "yesteryear" when the sun shone strong, the road was too hot to stand on in bare feet! so one had to walk home from the beach carefully and look for shaded parts! the slate steps of the blue house were used as a drawing pad with a small piece of slate, no doubt I was shouted at! many happy memories.
