Hampshire Constabulary is one of the biggest forces in the country, whose purpose is to deliver SAFER communities. We police over 1,500 square miles; are home to a significant transport network including the M27 and M3, key rail hubs and two international airports; and critical national infrastructure.
Bitterne North Neighbourhood
The Bitterne North neighbourhood comprises the areas of Harefield, Bitterne Park and Townhill. It covers mainly residential areas and includes several long established housing estates. The area is served by 2 secondary schools, Bitterne Park School and Sixth Form, which is the largest in Southampton and Woodlands Community College. There are also 2 independent schools which offer secondary level provision, The Gregg School and St Marys College.
Local policing is provided by a dedicated team of 1 sergeant, 9 constables and 3 PCSO’s. We are also supported by a small team of special constables.
Our team is focussed on protecting the most vulnerable in society, and working to reduce crime and anti social behaviour

Neighbourhood Officer Details
Hello, my name is Mo Abdou I am a PCSO in Hampshire Constabulary since June 2021, I enjoy being out and about talking to members of the public and gathering information about local issues within the community. Also, supporting PC colleagues in targeting criminals and deterring crimes.
I am Yozanne Richards and I am the Sergeant for the Bitterne North Area.
I have been employed by Hampshire Constabulary since 2007 and to date I have worked my entire career in Southampton.
I have worked in a variety of roles within the Force, however I am passionate about Neighbourhood Policing and strive to build positive working relationships with the community to prevent and reduce crime and disorder, protect our most vulnerable and to make life better and safer for everyone.
I provide clear direction to my team and our aim is to increase public trust and confidence by being a visible presence, to relentlessly pursue criminals and to put the victim at the heart of everything we do.
My name is PCSO Lauren Thomas, I have been part of Hampshire Constabulary for about a year. My favourite part of this job is how different it is every day and how I get to do things that make a difference. I love to be out and about with my colleagues and really enjoy talking to members of our local community. Please feel free to say hello if you see me!
I am PCSO Thompson and I have been working for Hampshire Constabulary since 2016 and currently cover the Bitterne north area. I enjoy being out and about on patrol and speaking to local residents and shops within the community. This helps me gain a better understanding of what’s happening and how I can help the community feel safer.
