View northward from the rear of a DLR train from Stratford on the Poplar - Stratford limb, opened 31/8/87. Formerly this was Poplar East India Dock Road station on the Dalston Junction - Poplar section of the North London Railway: the latter was closed to passengers on 23/4/45 (bus substitution from 15/5/44), but remained as a gradually declining freight line, eventually to be incorporated in the DLR system.
