As dusk begins to form a private narrowboat passes through the Camelon swing footbridge on the Forth & Clyde Canal seeking an overnight mooring. This bridge was provided so that visitors parking in an overflow car park on the north side of the canal could reach the Falkirk Wheel and its lower basin, the entrance to which is immediately behind and to the right of the photographer.
