A view of the straight stretch and cul-de-sac end of Welsley Street taken from its Oak Street end, the latter being close to the back of the former Carrington Post Office. The playing field belongs to Carrington Primary and Nursery School on Hucknall Road and the run of plastic sheeting clipped to the fencing on the right represents an attempt to keep children using the playing field and construction workers on the building site from seeing each other! The footings for the walls of a large care home are currently visible through the plastic screening.
