The extensive churchyard of the Grade I listed church contains an uncertain number of yew trees kept in fine shape. It is said that there are only ever a maximum of 99 such trees. Legend has it that if a hundredth is planted an existing one dies. It's a nice story even if it's only apocryphal, like the Rollright Stones tale http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/605683
