An eye-catcher arch, at the end of the avenue from Buckingham at the summit of the hill. The south front of Stowe House faces the arch across the lakes of the park. The arch includes accommodation for staff of the estate (an easy way to have gatekeepers on site, without distracting from the impressive view).
