One of the two meeting-houses (described as "small boxy churches" in John Gifford's Pevsner guide) which stand close together on the main road in Upper Shader/Siadar Uarach - the other is Image which belongs to the Church of Scotland, so this one was probably used by the Free Church or another Presbyterian denomination, but currently has no sign and may no longer be in use. The bellcote on the gable end (from which the bell has now been removed), the add-on entrance porch with facilities and the line of ventilators along the roof ridge are typical of small churches in the isles.
