Introduction

The photograph on this page of Stevenston No 2 signal box by Albert Bridge as part of the Geograph project.

The Geograph project started in 2005 with the aim of publishing, organising and preserving representative images for every square kilometre of Great Britain, Ireland and the Isle of Man.

Stevenston No 2 box (built to a standard Glasgow & South Western Railway design) controlled the Station Road level crossing at Stevenston station (Image October 2005). The box closed in 1986 and (to the best of my knowledge) was later demolished.
