Glasgow's new velodrome, built for the 2014 Commonwealth Games, is now open for business, a short sprint away from Glasgow's last banked cycle track at Westhorn Park (also known as Helenvale) which fell into disrepair in the 1980s. Here is a http://www.britainfromabove.org.uk/image/saw045963 to an aerial photo which shows Westhorn and Celtic Park, where cycle racing also took place at the turn of the 19th Century.
