Situated in the High Street opposite St George's Avenue, the station was hosting an open day from 10 am to 4 pm, which was the reason for the rectangular red poster on the front of the building. It was almost 4 pm when I took this view so no personnel were visible (as had been the case a little earlier) but two fire engines were parked in the road and there was one inside the station with an ambulance.
