Named Spirit in the Sky, the red kite sculpture is located in the centre of Llanwrtyd Wells, on the north bank of the River Irfon. The red kite can be seen in various part of mid Wales, especially in the vicinity of Gigrin Farm near Rhayader where hundreds are fed by the local farmer as a tourist attraction. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3014572 The red kite is part of the emblem of the county of Powys.
