The former Warwick and Birmingham Canal was opened for business in 1800, (though ceremoniously declared open the previous year). Dovehouse Lane (old) Bridge is No 82, with the newer wider higher bridge concealed beyond it. In the shady distance is Bridge No 81, Lode Lane Bridge.
