Looking east from Garvallagh towards Agharonan. The Baile Mór Fair was an event which the locals still remember as taking place in the 17th century, in a large field beyond this one, the name originally meant something like "yew-place" En-route to it was the "House of Poteen", a structure designed to be slightly out of sight from the authorities and there is still evidence of its remains to this day.
