The Piccadilly Line extension beyond Hounslow West to serve Heathrow is largely in cut and cover tunnel, but at the River Crane crossing, the line briefly emerges from tunnel to bridge the river - presumably the economic solution. The actual bridge is where the far wall is set towards the tracks for a short distance.
