The building in Tynewydd Square dates from 1907. It was formerly a hotel. All the top floor windows are bricked up or boarded up, and likewise for some windows on the floor below. The left side of the building is now the premises of La Maya Multicuisine Restaurant. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3139153 The signage on the right side shows Bar Apollo.
