Minworth Basin seems to have been a comparatively short-lived feature that appears to have been built to serve the Minworth Greaves sewage works. 20th Century large scale Ordnance Survey maps show it extending at least a 100 metres away from the canal. A footbridge carried the towpath over the basin entrance. The basin has now evidently been filled in and the footbridge removed. Although not marked on the Nicholson's Waterways guide as such it could presumably be used as a winding hole. (The photographer accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any damage caused to anything by anyone attempting this manoeuvre!)
