Added note 15 Feb 2010: The BBC reports that Guildford Street is now due for demolition - see http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/humber/8515223.stm "A street in a North East Lincolnshire town which has been the scene of arson, drug dealing and violence for years is to be pulled down. Guildford Street in Grimsby is to be closed for good on Monday before demolition begins in a few weeks. More than 100 houses, which were originally built to accommodate fishermen, will be demolished. Cllr Steve Beasant said pulling down the street would "make great differences to people's life chances"."
