This bridge is over the North London line which will become "London Overground". The present bridge is 75 years old and needs renewing. Because it carries 4 lanes of traffic on an important access to London, lanes cannot be closed for rebuilding. So in effect a temporary bridge will be built alongside, then the existing bridge will be replaced. See Image for a closer view of the 1000 ton crane which lifts bridge beams into place. .
