Glynde Village Sign

This is new having been official unveiled on 5 June 2012. It celebrates the 2009 victory in the National Village Cricket Cup competition of the local club, Glynde & Beddingham CC. The sign has been placed next to Glynde Bridge which spans Glynde Reach which for centuries was the parochial boundary between Glynde and Beddingham. The latter's name is on the reverse side. The sheep represent the old Southdown variety which were first bred in the village by a local farmer, John Ellman.
