"Be of Good Cheer" I believe this was designed by local artist Philip Cole (1884-1964), in the early 20th C. He also designed a window for Hastings St. Clement's church, Hastings. The small round images at the top depict subjects such as Science, Art and Industry, and show contemporary Ships, Planes, Steam Trains, with standing airman on one side and a farmer on the other. A very underrated work, sadly tucked away on a staircase.
