Model Cottages, Mathern

These are not models of cottages, but full sized late Victorian buildings. One source states that they were built as almshouses. Another source states that they were built as workers' cottages belonging to the Wyelands estate of Brigadier Vaughan-Hughes. Both sources agree that they date from 1891.
