Officially the tree seen here centre image with a low rail around its base is England's tallest tree. It measured 60.07m (197') in 2009, so is almost certainly over 200' tall now. It is to be found with many competitors for the title at Image] Its species is Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris). BBC report here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/somerset/7975130.stm This is the tallest tree known in England, there are slightly taller trees in Scotland and probably in Wales too, but none over 210' as far as I can ascertain.
