The prominent line of trees in the middle of the photograph marks the railway track running alongside Cluny Avenue. The tall white building is part of the Royal Edinburgh Hospital with the Braid Centre in Hermitage Terrace seen directly in front of it. The view also takes in part of Corstorphine Hill, upper right.
