The brewery was owned by W S Davy; the house probably dates to the mid 19th century, and was the offices for the business. Another relic of the brewery can be seen herehttp://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3112668 . An inscribed stone on the right of the building http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3116502 records the nature of the business, The brewery itself appears to have been on the site now occupied by Baldertongate Long Stay Car Park.
