Britain's only independent savings bank. A Category B Listed building by architect JM Arthur in 1924. At the corner of Stirling Street and Wellwynd. This sculpture above the entrance to the bank, by Petrie of Glasgow, depicts an Airdrie mother teaching thrift to her children.
